Less attention is often given to the processes through which decisions are reached.

This section does not examine individual cases.

Instead, it reflects on recurring patterns, procedures, and questions that appear within contemporary child protection systems.

The purpose is not to judge.

Nor to provide definitive answers.

But simply to ask:

What can be learned by looking more closely?
